Chapter 3.3.3

Let's Have Fun!

Fukuoka trip after school

As mentioned in the previous post, we went to Fukuoka to participate in the National Architecture Conference. Since most of the presentations were done on the second day, the seniors decided to rent a car on the third day and started a free trip to the suburbs of Fukuoka. Below is the itinerary of our day trip for your reference.

course (of history)

  • morning
    • Renting a car to Itoshima Beach: Rent a Toyota at the Nippon Tenjin Daimyo Office near the hotel. Itoshima is about 30 minutes drive from the center of Fukuoka.
    • Seascape at Itoshima Coast: The blue water lapping at the golden sandy beach is a breathtaking view of the Itoshima Coast.
    • Lunch at the Palm Beach Restaurant: Enjoy a delicious meal with an uninterrupted view of the ocean.
  • afternoon
    • Visit the Itoshima Appreciation Program for artifacts: Enjoy the exquisite local artifacts and feel the richness of art. Souvenirs can be purchased here.
    • Hiking at the nearby "Paragliding" spot: From the top of the mountain, you can see the blue sea and sky along the coast of Itoshima Island, and feel the breeze of the sea on your face. The view is breathtaking and unforgettable. If you are interested, you can also sign up for the paragliding experience.
    • Hiking to "Shiraito Falls": Enjoy the beauty of this small waterfall. The clear water sparkles in the sunlight, adding a touch of serenity to the trip.
      • "Shiraito Falls: A well-known energy gathering place in Japan, the waterfall is located halfway up Haganeyama (Haganeyama) at an elevation of about 900 meters, with a height of about 24 meters, and the clear water flowing down the rock face is breathtakingly beautiful, especially in the spring, summer, fall, and winter, when the vegetation changes to give it different charms. It is also a place for families and nature lovers to visit, offering experience activities such as fishing, sukiyaki and soba making.
  • at night fall
    • Go to Fukuoka Tower: A representative building of Fukuoka, three white columns are intertwined to form an elegant and modern shape, giving you a unique and futuristic design.
      • Fukuoka Tower: This tower is a famous landmark in Fukuoka City, Japan, and is the tallest seaside tower in Japan with a total height of 234 meters. There is an observation deck on the top 123 meters of the tower, from which you can enjoy a 360-degree view of Fukuoka city and Hakata Bay.
    • Enjoy the sunset at "Seaside Momochi Seaside Park": a sea bathing area opposite to Fukuoka Tower. It is very relaxing to be close to the sea, watch the sunset coloring the sky, and enjoy the warm afterglow of the setting sun and the sea breeze.
      • "Seaside Momochi Seaside Park: This park is a famous seaside park in Fukuoka, consisting of a white artificial beach divided into two areas, "Momochi Seaside Area" and "Jigyohama Area". The park extends 1.4km from east to west, facing the calm Hakata Bay, and is close to the city center, making it an ideal seaside resort.
    • Return the rental car and finish the trip.

Each car rental company differs in terms of price, car model, insurance, booking options and other services. For example, if price is important, you can choose Skyticket; if insurance is important, you can choose Airtrip; if you have special requirements for car models, you can choose Rennavi. Personally, I often see Japanese people around me using "Skyticket" and "Airtrip" to rent a car. If you want to rent a car for a long period of time or for business, you can consider Rennavi.

Trivia

I was very lucky to meet a group of gentle seniors who not only guided me in my studies, but also introduced me to various Japanese cultures. Over time, my Japanese vocabulary became more extensive and I became more articulate, and without any special preparation, I passed the Japanese Language Test N2 three months after coming to Japan.

Therefore, I also hope that when you come to Japan to study, you will try to communicate with the Japanese students in the laboratory as much as possible, so that you can gain more unique experience in your short-term study life.
